Moving Right Along...
So last week... what I said about the road not being glamorous or comfortable... Well I meant it at the time, but then we bought a bus and that changed everything! LOL Well not really. It’s still going to be a lot of hard work, but it makes it a bit more glamorous and comfortable. 📷;)
We’re super excited to take The Green Machine on the road! As Two Bad Apples we drove The Blue Beast and I think in some towns it’s definitely a recognizable vehicle. We have to pimp up the bus a bit before we head out, but it’ll be a moving billboard soon once we get our logo on the side. It makes a huge difference bringing your bed with you, plus a place to hang out before and after the show; a place to cook and all those other things touring bands enjoy while on the road. It’s going to be great to be able to bring a bit of home everywhere we go.
I think I speak for all the guys when I say we can’t wait to get out on the road. Gotta test out the ice maker lol! Part of being in a band is getting to know these people like family. Trust me, we’ll be spending more time with these guys over the next couple years than our actual families. It’s really fun coming together with people you’ve never met and then all working towards a common goal. It’s amazing how quickly things get done when everybody jumps on board. It’s much easier to brainstorm with 4 people.
One of the new things we’ll be doing to get to know each other and to let our public to get to know us is #TriviaTuesday. I’m really excited about this since we’re already coming up with some wacky stories from the guys and learning things I would have never guessed. We’ll come up with a question early in the day and then give the answer that evening. You’ll have to check the page this week (on Tuesday obviously) to see the first one. Everyone loves learning real life quirks about their favourite celebrities (us included which is why we read so many biographies) - and not saying we’re celebrities, but I think people will enjoy the trivia as much as we do. It’ll be fun nonetheless.
The best thing about this week is actually just that; fun. It was awesome sharing our surprise with everyone, rehearsing, and shooting the shit over some homemade wine. I really think too many people take themselves too seriously. So while we work very hard behind the scenes on everything we’re doing, I want to make sure we still have a good time and so far no one has killed each other. We took a quick photo today and then got right down to business rehearsing a few songs. We’re on the home stretch as far as completing the album goes and thank god. Rob can actually have a life again and not be locked up in a cold basement, missing summer. Everything is coming together slowly, but surely. Some of it seems very surreal, but I guess that’s a good thing!
