Dealing With Loss
We were the Dream Team. 3 peas in a pod. We did everything together and now our hearts are in a million pieces. Max was the best dog anyone could ask for. He was so smart - and handsome - everywhere we went someone always had to say how handsome he was. He was my prince - it was love at first sight twelve and a half years ago. He loved us so much and we tried to give him all the love in the world back. Now we just have to try to figure out how to go on without him... How? I have no idea. Who will ride in the van? Who will yell at squirrels and climb mountains with us? Who will eat the carrots and broccoli and apples and cheese and peanut butter? He was our baby and our best friend. If you have a dog, please go give it a long hug. Take it for a walk and give it extra treats today. You never known when the last time you’ll get to do that may be. We have so many memories. It hurts so much to know I’ll never lean my head into his again and be able to kiss his nose and get a kiss back.
Goodbye Maxxy. We love you.
